Salley Mavor o la delicia de transformar la ilustraciòn con hilos, fibras y mas.
"A needle is my tool, thread is my medium and stitches are my marks." Sally Mavor Sally por 40 años ha creado arte tridimensional utilizando el bordado, las fibras como la lana o las telas o hasta los elementos recogidos de la naturaleza para crear historias. Al estar estudiando en The Rhode Island School of Design recordò ese cariño que le tenia al coser y crear mundos miniatura. Y descubriò que el manipular materiales era mas satisfactorio que utilizar las pinturas y la brocha. Y ese es el camino que ha tomado desde entonces, creando mundos miniatura y cito textualmente a Sally M: "My work is decorative and detailed, full of patterns and found objects, all bound together with stitching. I am interested in universal, playful narratives that reflect the society we live in today.
